Veranda Panda - Guitar Slang (Feat Gary Thomas)

Oh Veranda Panda why have I not met you before? People I am being completely honest when I say that I discovered this tune about half hour ago. I enjoyed it so much after the first listening that I couldn’t restrain myself from sharing it !

This South African group from Durban, will delight you with some Electro beats mimicking the traditional sounds of the South African country music. That being said,

Enjoy the modern folklore of the Rainbow Nation.

Anna Lunoe & Flume - I Met You

A snow storm hit Boston yesterday afternoon and this automatically set my mind to ‘Hibernation Mode’. This state of mind generally encompasses making a cup of hot chocolate, jumping into bed, watching a movie, and ultimately listening to some joyful beats that will compensate for the lack of activity throughout my day.

In this particular occasion, I came across a fine, fine Aussie woman that recently started making her own music, and who has been playing on stage with an incredible set of DJs  all over Asia, Europe and the U.S. Her voice is amazing, and the electro pop/dance sounds that go along with it generally make of her songs some pretty addicting masterpieces.

‘I Met You’ is part of an EP called ‘Real Talk’ made by Anna and her friends, who are just as incredibly talented. Flume, specifically, is another young Australian who has been producing some pretty intricate and catchy sounds that will certainly soon be featured at Le Salon as well.

Stayed tuned for some more of this glorious sounds and reap the benefits!

Nod One’s Head - UP

A relatively new tune from relatively new artists… Berlin has stayed on fire in the indie electro movement lately and brings us these beats that are more than worth listening to. They are catchy and refreshing; putting themselves aside from the monotonous sounds of many European new artists that are simply looking for fame, rather than producing music, Nod One’s Head show the innovative potential that the Old World still contains.

Enjoy this incredible new song and reap the benefits!

Roosevelt - Sea

People once again we post another artist from the promising label Greco-Roman. It might be easier if I refresh your memory and tell you that the previous two artists we blogged are Disclosure and Baio.

This German kid comes from Cologne, a city in Germany that I know quiet well for having lived nearby. His promising music is easily accessible and will make most people dance. The pop that seems to described his tracks has been perfected and shaped by his talent. Trust me, it will only requires one listening of this tune to have it engraved in your mind. Play it and next thing you know, you will put this song on repeat. Sea will bring you all the comfort you need in this time of the year as days are getting shorter and grayer every day.

Remember, Germans do it better.

Ry/Frank Wiedemann - Howling

What do you think would happen if one were to combine the relaxed Australian lifestyle to the melodic German deep house?

Ry Cuming and Frank Wiedemann, beautifully combined their distant musical universes and talents to create and transcend the boundaries of music. This unfamiliar yet incredible sound will invade and poison your playlist the same way it has invaded ours. Let yourself succumb the the melody end experience the Dreamy Pop of this song.

Music is a therapy for the mind and the soul.

Rawayana ft. Diego ”El Negro” Alvarez - Gatos Oliva

At Le Salon, we pride ourselves in working to promote and support artists with the talent to thrive at the highest level of international recognition. This is why today, we are glad to present you with one of Venezuela’s most influential bands and leading artists of the current indie movement: Rawayana.

Their reggae and ska roots are clearly present and easy to identify in their debut album Licencia Para Ser Libre. These roots come from artists such as Sublime, Donavon Frankenreiter and Devendra Banhart, which they claim to have been highly influenced by. Released on March of 2011, this album showed to be extremely successful across the nation and boosted the band’s fame at an incredible rate of speed.

Rawayana is currently working on their second record production, after having released several videos for some of their most popular tracks. These videos have all been directed and edited by Rodrigo Michelangeli - one of the band members - and they all surely transmit the good vibes that Rawayana is all about.

Les Sins - Fetch

A new side project from Chaz Bundick of Toro Y Moi chillwave fame, Les Sins is a self-described fusion of “pop, house, disco, and hipster garage” that has made quite a stir in the music world this summer, and with good reason. “Fetch”, part of a two track EP released earlier this year, is a hard hitting soundscape that you cant help bob your head along with. Not much is known about the future of Les Sins, as Bundick still tours as Toro Y Moi (check him out next weekend at Treasure Island Music Fest in San Francisco), but we can only hope that there may be more of this distinctively new sound to come.

Lemaitre - Nishio

The discodudes from Norway are back on Le Salon with one of the most soothing melodies and beats out there. ‘Nishio’ is definitely a great example of the incredible music that this indie-electronic duo is making, and surely deserves to be listened to carefully.

After having listened to their music over and over again for about two weeks now, and realizing how incredible their gripping melodies and disco beats can be, I can assure you that Ketil & Ulrik will soon jump to the top of musical fame.

Body Language - Social Studies (Plastic Plates Remix)

An amazingly talented from from the US of A and I think the best way to describe these guys is to read their response to the question “Is it dumbstep”:

“Not quite, although Body Language’s Social Studies certainly starts off that way—with a thick, top-heavy baseline absolutely hammering your speakers. Ah, but then the synths kick in like laser canons, leading us all down a neon-lit wind tunnel that’s lined with lean loops, galloping grooves, and head-circling hooks. Which begs one simple question: what is this, really?”

Crazy guys, enjoy!

Lemaitre - Keep Close

After only two years of being together, Ketil & Ultric a.k.a Lemaitre, have managed to produce magic for every listener’s ear. Songs like ”Keep Close” and ”Blue Shift” have brought them to the peak at which they are right now (higher peaks are yet to come) and have made them become the incredible musicians that many now consider them to be.

Enjoy!

This french band has been producing some crazy tracks and videos, notably the Time to Dance video produced by the famous director Daniel Wolfe and starring Jake Gyllenhaal. So keep an eye out for the French electro-pop band, who are going to be performing this weekend at the French music festival Calvi on the rocks.

Peace!

Enjoy
