Anna Lunoe & Flume - I Met You

A snow storm hit Boston yesterday afternoon and this automatically set my mind to ‘Hibernation Mode’. This state of mind generally encompasses making a cup of hot chocolate, jumping into bed, watching a movie, and ultimately listening to some joyful beats that will compensate for the lack of activity throughout my day. 

In this particular occasion, I came across a fine, fine Aussie woman that recently started making her own music, and who has been playing on stage with an incredible set of DJs  all over Asia, Europe and the U.S. Her voice is amazing, and the electro pop/dance sounds that go along with it generally make of her songs some pretty addicting masterpieces. 

‘I Met You’ is part of an EP called ‘Real Talk’ made by Anna and her friends, who are just as incredibly talented. Flume, specifically, is another young Australian who has been producing some pretty intricate and catchy sounds that will certainly soon be featured at Le Salon as well.

A relatively new tune from relatively new artists… Berlin has stayed on fire in the indie electro movement lately and brings us these beats that are more than worth listening to. Ry/Frank Wiedemann - Howling

Rawayana ft. Diego ”El Negro” Alvarez - Gatos Oliva  

At Le Salon, we pride ourselves in working to promote and support artists with the talent to thrive at the highest level of international recognition. This is why today, we are glad to present you with one of Venezuela’s most influential bands and leading artists of the current indie movement: Rawayana.

Their reggae and ska roots are clearly present and easy to identify in their debut album Licencia Para Ser Libre. These roots come from artists such as Sublime, Donavon Frankenreiter and Devendra Banhart, which they claim to have been highly influenced by. Released on March of 2011, this album showed to be extremely successful across the nation and boosted the band’s fame at an incredible rate of speed. 

Rawayana is currently working on their second record production, after having released several videos for some of their most popular tracks. These videos have all been directed and edited by Rodrigo Michelangeli - one of the band members - and they all surely transmit the good vibes that Rawayana is all about.

AlunaGeorge - Watching Over You

On top of the steady flow of incredible music coming out of the UK at the moment is London-based duo AlunaGeorge. “Watching Over You” is forthcoming on the Annie Mac Presents 2012 album, to be released Oct. 8th. Lemaitre - Keep Close

After only two years of being together, Ketil & Ultric a.k.a Lemaitre, have managed to produce magic for every listener’s ear. Songs like ”Keep Close” and ”Blue Shift” have brought them to the peak at which they are right now (higher peaks are yet to come) and have made them become the incredible musicians that many now consider them to be.

The Shoes - America

This french band has been producing some crazy tracks and videos, notably the Time to Dance video produced by the famous director Daniel Wolfe and starring Jake Gyllenhaal. So keep an eye out for the French electro-pop band, who are going to be performing this weekend at the French music festival Calvi on the rocks.

Lemaitre - Time to Realize
